This is a great set of knives. You can sharpen these to a razors edge to take the work out of doing your food chores. These knives are not just for the kitchen. They work great for working up a deer for the freezer or cleaning fish. They are made in the USA of fully heat treated and tempered 1095 carbon steel. The same stuff the marine corp fighting knives are made of! Brass rivets hold the real wood handles to the blade. The use of these knives in my ancestry runs back several generations. Do not be taken in by some flashy ying yang on TV trying to sell some miracle "wonder knife" for your kitchen. Stick with american made OLD HICKORY knives and you will be set.
